HIF delivers superior low-cost service through being flexible and efficient - We have a dedicated team of employees who work in our Perth office.  We don’t have a fleet of expensive and often unproductive branches.  We believe investment in smart electronic claims processing solutions, like our HIF Fast-Track, HICAPS or IBA claiming options and other forms of electronic communication are more convenient for members and are far more cost-effective than spending millions on maintenance hungry bricks and mortar.

Commitment to the community - HIF is proud to support The Amanda Young Foundation, a not for profit charity organisation dedicated to reducing deaths from meningococcal disease as well as supporting the development of young people into future leaders.  The Foundation was formed in 1998 after the tragic death of Amanda Young from meningococcal septicaemia at the tender age of 18 years.

HIF provides the Foundation with accommodation and resources as well as HIF staff administration and accounting support to enable the Foundation to focus on saving lives through raising awareness, providing education and funding of research.

How can HIF deliver value for money? - HIF is an open access, not-for-profit health fund.  Any surpluses we derive belongs to our members, and ultimately, are returned to members through lower premiums, new and better rebates and improved customer service.  We regularly improve benefits, we keep a “tight lid” on premiums and we don’t spend $millions on advertising.  Our best recruitment tool is member word of mouth.
